Sessional Workers are able to add their availability to the EDT weekend on call rota for sessional shifts and will be called upon to support the EDT desk as required.

About the role:

The team only deal with emergencies requiring immediate social care intervention, so do not hold cases. We provide a wide range of children and adult services to vulnerable service users across the district outside of normal business hours. We ensure appropriate representation and support is provided to individuals, families and other professionals based on emergency or out of hours situations. We work on a rota that provides cover at times that the daytime offices are closed on evenings, overnight, weekends and public holidays. We are office based (between Trust offices and Bradford police station) and can work from home when on nights, but must complete visits as required to respond to crises as the need arises. You will often be working independently and in emergency, but we have strong links with the police and health partners to ensure a multi-agency response.

You’ll have sound working knowledge of all relevant legal requirements and be able to undertake safeguarding assessment and planning. You’ll have excellent assessment skills and will consider all the risks to inform your decisions.

  • You will be required to have access to your own Personal Vehicle with Business Insurance.
