Plymouth Highbury Trust is a charity providing a diverse range of services and social events for people with learning disabilities, living in the City of Plymouth. The Society started out as a self-help and support group with the aim to improve the services available for people with a learning disability. The Society’s membership increased considerably over the ensuing years and a lasting fellowship developed between members that still stands today.

Our mission is to ensure that individuals with learning disabilities gain the support, care, experiences and the opportunity to live their lives to the full.

Our Vision is to support people with learning difficulties and their associated support network throughout life, to challenge and change the possibilities for them, with them.

Job Description:

We are currently seeking an Experienced Cleaner with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience to join us here at Plymouth This position offers 12 hours of work per week, with a flexibility to your working week, Monday to Sunday.

Responsible to:

Highbury Community support service manager/General manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform cleaning duties in accordance with established protocols and schedules.
  • Maintain impeccable cleanliness in all areas, including floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common spaces.
  • Tasks will include dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and window cleaning.
  • Ensure that all assigned areas are cleaned to the highest standards.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and company policies.
  • Report any maintenance issues or cleaning equipment malfunctions to the line manager.
  • Work independently and efficiently to complete cleaning tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of cleaning experience in a similar role.
  • Strong work ethic and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in following cleaning protocols and working independently.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Punctuality and reliability.
  • Physical stamina to handle cleaning tasks.
