Job Requirements/Description

Ever considered becoming a Trustee? We would love to hear from you.

Bedfordshire and Luton Community Foundation (BLCF) is an independent, non-profit organisation established in 2001. Our aim is to improve the quality of life for local residents through encouraging local giving. We are the 7th largest grant making CF in the UK.

Trustees act in the charity’s best interests to set strategic plans, make key decisions, oversee the running of the organisation and support the Chief Executive. At BLCF we take our trustee role seriously and while there is a formal side to what we do, we work hard to make our meetings informative and enjoyable. We also provide ongoing training and development opportunities to support you on your Trustee journey.

We are looking to grow our Board with Bedfordshire based Trustees who represent our communities and who can bring specific expertise. This requirement will change from time to time, but could include specialisms such as:

  • Property Development
  • Public & Media Relations
  • IT Expertise

The BLCF board meets quarterly at our offices and we will also invite you to join one of our three Executive Committees.
