Housekeeper - Brislington

Job Purpose

To work under the leadership of the Home Manager to undertake cleaning duties within the home using appropriate equipment and materials as required and having respect at all times for the people supported within the home.

Accountabilities

• To carry out cleaning to a high standard, taking care to ensure that service users’ privacy is safeguarded and their dignity and independence respected.
• To demonstrate a commitment to the quality of your work by ensuring that cleaning (of all aspects of all common and private areas including - but this list is not exclusive-rooms, hallways, floors, radiators, paintwork, door handles, bins), is undertaken in a timely way, and presented to a high standard.
• To ensure a clean and safe environment, adhering to all infection control guidelines, carrying out daily and weekly cleaning duties and maintaining an appropriate dress code.
• To ensure health and safety standards are maintained and to lead any Environmental Health inspections with the Home Manager, undertaking relevant administration tasks and keeping records necessary for the role.
• To work with all colleagues in the home to ensure that cleaning is undertaken to a rotational plan agreed with the Home Manager and to be proactive about cleaning that is needed on an ad hoc basis.
• To take an active interest in your own development and in the continuous improvement of the service.
