Hours per week: 30 hours per week

We’re looking for an Operational Trainer to join the Talent & Learning team at Brandon Trust. This role will be focused on supporting our business across Bristol and Gloucester in their Learning & Development requirements. You’ll work as part of the team of Operational Trainers, reporting to the Learning & Development Manager. You’ll design & deliver mandatory and essential training within a regional area of the Brandon Trust and will have the responsibility of new starter induction, annual training requirements, the Care Certificate and ad hoc workplace assessment amongst other duties.

This role is permanent, ideally working 4 days per week however we are flexible and keen to discuss individual requirements. 

Your responsibilities:

  • Creating & delivering relevant in-house training programmes and resources for front-line colleagues.
  • Selecting & using the most appropriate training methods and activities, taking a blended learning approach (including eLearning, virtual classroom, face to face delivery)
  • Ensure that the training you deliver meets legal and regulatory compliance guidelines (CQC & OFSTED)
  • Performing needs assessment to identify knowledge gaps and areas in need of improvement
  • Champion and drive forward the digital and functional skills of the workforce
  • Use a range of multimedia and IT systems to collect, monitor and evaluate data in relation to Talent & learning activities. Use the data to report on trends, concerns, and solutions
  • Designing bespoke learning that is aligned to Brandon’s strategy & values
  • Responding to the local, operational requirements of the workforce.

We’re looking for:

  • Good understanding, wide range of experience of Social Care and all essential training required by the sector
  • Demonstrable experience of active involvement in design and/or delivering training and learning and development
  • Demonstrable experience of creating digital learning media
  • Have a positive attitude to seeking new ways of encouraging people to stretch their abilities to the full
  • Good coaching and people skills and be able to demonstrate creative skills in course design and training facilitation.
  • Have an entrepreneurial approach to promotion of learning programmes
  • Flexibility to travel to various locations is a must, initially this would be Bristol, Gloucester and North Somerset however from time to time further afield maybe required.
  • It would be advantageous if you hold a teaching or training qualification within a relevant field or be willing to work towards one.
