We currently have an opportunity for a full time (37.5 hours) Support Worker at Martin House in St Albans.
- Martin House provides 24 hours supported housing for 16 vulnerable homeless individuals
- Providing housing related support to service users from a homeless background.
- We aim to provide accommodation and support to improve the quality of the resident`s lives and develop skills towards independent living in the future. Residents are issued with a licence agreement. This sets out their rights and responsibilities as a resident
Working as part of a dedicated team, your role as a Support Worker is to:
- Provide Housing related support to residents, within their own home, which may be in a supported living scheme or in the wider community.
- Write support plans and risk assessments to ensure that we are providing a service that meets each individual`s needs, supports their aspirations and maximises their independence.
- Support our services users with substance/alcohol misuse and recovery.
- Work in partnership with specialist providers eg- community mental health teams.
About You
If you have previously worked in a care setting or health & social care field and have experience of providing support to vulnerable people then this role could be perfect for you!

- Work shifts as part of a rota system which will include weekend and bank holiday working
